The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has introduced a fresh One Time Registration (OTR) system for all candidates applying for SSC exams. As per the notice issued on 22 February 2024, candidates will need to complete the OTR on the newly launched SSC website, ssc.gov.in.

Follow these steps to successfully complete your SSC OTR registration:

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for SSC OTR:

  1. Visit the Official SSC Website:

    • Go to the official website: ssc.gov.in.
    • Alternatively, a direct link will be available in the “Important Links” section of this page.
  2. Click on the ‘New Registration’ Tab:

    • Find and click on the “New Registration” tab to start the registration process.
  3. Fill in Basic Details:

    • Provide essential information such as:
      • Full Name
      • Father’s Name
      • Mother’s Name
      • Mobile Number
      • Email ID
      • High School Class 10 Roll Number
  4. Verify and Submit Registration:

    • Review your profile details carefully and click on Submit to complete the initial registration.
  5. OTP Verification:

    • An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your registered email and mobile number.
    • Enter the OTP to verify your contact details.
  6. Registration Part I Completion:

    • After OTP verification, the first part of the registration is completed.
    • You will see your OTR Registration Number displayed on the screen.
  7. Change Default Password:

    • Check your email for a temporary password. Use it to log in to your profile.
    • Change the default password to a custom one that includes:
      • At least 8 characters
      • A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
    • You will also need to select two security questions to help recover your password in case you forget it.
  8. Login and Complete Profile:

    • After changing the password, log in again using your new password and registration number.
    • Enter additional details such as:
      • Nationality
      • Category
      • Visible Identification Mark
      • Permanent and Local Address
  9. Preview and Submit:

    • Before submitting, click on the Preview button to check all the details.
    • If everything is correct, click on Declare and then submit the form. If there are any errors, correct them before submitting.
  10. Final Confirmation:

    • Once submitted, the registration process is complete. You will be redirected to your SSC Dashboard.
  11. Access the Dashboard:

    • The SSC OTR dashboard will allow you to:
      • Apply for upcoming SSC recruitment exams.
      • Get information about admit cards, results, and more by logging into your SSC account.

This OTR system will make future applications for SSC exams easier and faster, as you only need to register once.
